Our Services

We provide roller shutter repair, servicing, maintenance, and replacement services for commercial, industrial, and domestic premises across Essex. Our services include emergency call-outs, planned maintenance, and supply and installation of replacement shutters.

All work is carried out by our own qualified engineers. We do not use unvetted subcontractors. Our engineers carry public liability insurance on all jobs.

Quotations and Pricing

We provide no-obligation quotations before any work begins. All quotations are provided by our engineer on site following inspection of the shutter. You will be told the cost of the repair before any work starts and you are under no obligation to proceed.

Our pricing is based on a first-hour rate covering attendance and initial repair work, with additional time charged at the hourly rate and agreed with you before work continues. Parts are charged additionally where required and are always itemised. Out-of-hours attendance may attract a premium rate, which will be communicated when you call and confirmed before attendance.

Written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

Warranties and Guarantees

All repair work carried out by Shutter Repairs Essex is warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of 3 months from the date of the repair. Parts supplied by us are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which is typically 12 months.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, vandalism, or deterioration of other components not included in the original repair. Warranty claims must be notified to us promptly.

Your Obligations

To enable us to carry out repairs safely and effectively, you agree to:

• Provide safe and unobstructed access to the shutter and the area immediately around it
• Inform us of any known hazards at your premises before the engineer attends
• Ensure the shutter is not operated while our engineer is working on it
• Provide an accurate description of the fault as best you can when booking

Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a planned (non-emergency) appointment without charge provided you give us at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation charge to cover the engineer's travel and time.

Emergency call-outs that are cancelled after an engineer has been dispatched will be charged for the travel and attendance time incurred.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you in connection with any repair or service is limited to the cost of that repair or service. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of trading time, loss of profit, or damage to stock caused by a shutter failure.

We carry public liability insurance and our engineers take all reasonable care when working at your premises. In the unlikely event of damage caused directly by our engineer's negligence, please contact us promptly so we can address it.
